Maria Cooper specializes in one-on-one custom tutoring for your child. She holds two degrees from the University of South Carolina: a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Teaching with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education.

With over 6 years experience teaching young children, she has the skill and understanding to help your child succeed. Over the years, Maria has tutored children in core subjects, and her passion for literacy has helped numerous students excel with respect to reading and understanding English. She has helped students “graduate” from reading recovery classes, and has worked with children of other nationalities to improve their knowledge, fluency and understanding in English as a second language.

Maria believes that every child has the right to succeed and to feel comfortable with his or her abilities in the classroom setting as well as at home.
